KAHALA
Royal Hawaiian Band to play King Day concert

Advertiser Staff

The Royal Hawaiian Band will play a tribute concert to Martin Luther King Jr. at the Kahala Mall tomorrow, the civil rights leader's birthday.

The 45-minute free concert will start at 7 p.m. It will feature the music of William Grant Still, Duke Ellington and Stevie Wonder, as well as musical selections from America's civil rights movement.

In 1964, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to end segregation and racial discrimination.
