'EWA BEACH
Burglary prevention forum at Keoneula

Advertiser Staff

A forum on burglary awareness and prevention will be held at the Keoneula Elementary School cafeteria from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

While hoping to help residents of Ocean Pointe, all 'Ewa and 'Ewa Beach residents are welcome.

The forum is being put on by the Honolulu Police Department's community policing team.

Officers will offer tips on how to reduce the chances of being burglarized.

There were 475 burglaries in 2007 on the 'Ewa Plain, 192 of them in Ocean Pointe, according to Officer Antone "Tony" Pacheco, of HPD's 'Ewa-Kapolei community policing team.

For information, call 692-4250.
