HIFF holds Oscar nom contest for awards party tickets

Film fans have a chance to win two seats for the Hawaii International Film Festival's OSCAR NIGHT AMERICA 2008, to be held at the Halekulani on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m.Contestants can e-mail oscar-contest@hiff.org with their guesses as to which five actors or films will be nominated for the following Academy Awards: Best Picture. Best Director. Best Actor. Best Actress. Best Supporting Actor. Best Supporting Actress. Best Foreign Film.
After the nominations are announced, there will be a drawing from among correct entries by HIFF event chair Kimi Matar.
The contest begins today, and concludes at midnight on Monday, Jan. 21 (Hawaiian Standard Time). Entries will only be accepted by email to oscar-contest@hiff.org.
The winner will be contacted prior to being announced to the public. The winner of the contest is expected to attend Oscar Night America.
