Mechanical breakdown at Kapaa transfer station

Kaua'i County officials said yesterday that mixed waste will not be accepted at the Kapa'a transfer station until further notice because of a mechanical breakdown in the packing system.The facility is still accepting household waste in garbage bags, green waste, white goods, propane tanks and motor oil.
