Intruder reported in UH dorm bathroom

Advertiser Staff

University of Hawai'i-Manoa officials today issued a security alert after a female dorm resident reported that a man entered her shower stall Monday night.

The woman said she was showering in the East-West Center's Hale Manoa residence hall when an unknown man entered her shower stall.

The woman screamed and the man fled, UH said.

The intruder was described as an Asian male in his early 20s. He is 5-feet-10 with an average build. He had straight black neck-length hair and a fair complexion.

Anyone with information about this incident may call campus security at 956-8211.

A similar incident happened Nov. 31, when a man took cell phone photos of a woman showering at UH's Hale Kakawai dorm. The man fled when the woman screamed.

At least five other UH dorm break-ins have been reported since August. A Schofield Barracks soldier has been charged in four cases.
