Attention called to pedestrian safety in Kalihi today

Advertiser Staff

In the wake of three pedestrian accidents involving elderly people this year, AARP volunteers and partners — along with staff of the Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services — will come together to call attention to the latest victim (hit in a crosswalk on School Street yesterday morning), distribute safety materials, and raise awareness about pedestrian-safety issues.

The safety tips will be given near Kalihi Kokua Valley Clinic at the corner of Ahonui and School streets from 8 to 9 a.m.
