Learn to prevent burglaries in your home

A forum on burglary awareness and prevention will be held at the Keoneula Elementary School cafeteria from 7 to 9 p.m. today for all 'Ewa and 'Ewa Beach residents.The forum is being put on by the Honolulu Police Department's community policing team, which will offer tips on how to reduce the chances of being burglarized.
There were 475 burglaries in 2007 on the 'Ewa Plain, 192 of them in Ocean Pointe, according to Officer Antone "Tony" Pacheco, of HPD's 'Ewa-Kapolei community policing team.
