Lahaina girl wins NFL's Punt, Pass, Kick title

Lahaina's Lalelei Mataafa won the National Football League's 2007 Punt, Pass and Kick national championship on Saturday in Indianapolis.

Representing the San Diego Chargers, Mataafa won the girls 8-9 year-old division, with a combined distance of 240 feet, nine inches.

Mataafa blew away her competition, winning by over 55 feet. In addition, her total was 10 feet more than the winner of the girls 10-11 division.

Mataafa had distances of 73 feet, 11 inches in the punt, 85 feet, eight inches in the pass, and 81 feet, two inches in the kick.

Mataafa's performance in the final was televised at halftime of the AFC divisional playoff game between the Indianapolis Colts and San Diego Chargers on Sunday at the RCA Dome.
