Hanapepe library to begin Saturday hours in February

Advertiser Staff

In response to customers' requests for more weekend hours on Kaua'i, Hanapepe Public Library will be open on Saturdays beginning Feb. 9, the state library system has announced.

By adding Saturdays, this library will be closed on Mondays. Customers may visit two neighboring libraries — Koloa Public & School Library or Waimea Public Library — should they need library services on Mondays.

Koloa Public & School Library is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while Waimea Public Library is open from noon to 8 p.m.

The new public service hours for Hanapepe Public Library will be:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Thursday: noon to 8 p.m.

  • Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Sunday, Monday: closed.
