State boards revoked two licenses in December

The state Real Estate Commission and the state Board of Motor Vehicle Industry Licensing Board both revoked licenses of individuals in December as other state professional and vocational boards heard also took actions against other individuals.

The Hawai'i Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs said real estate license Ken Sugihara had his license revoked and a $5,000 fine imposed, while the Motor Vehicle Industry board pulled the license of Todd Martin who did business as Martin Motors, LLC. Martin was also fined $1,000.

In other action last month, the Board of Medical Examiners accepted the voluntary surrender of license by Farid Afra, and levied a $500 fine against Johnny Michael Slade, M.D.

The board of nursing also accepted Mark Sarhan's voluntary surrender of license.
