Officer John Dorsey has won the Honolulu Police Department District 8's officer of the quarter award for the fourth quarter of 2007.

A 16-year veteran of the police force, Dorsey works the night shift and patrols an area that includes Makakilo, Campbell Industrial Park, Ko Olina and Nanakuli.

Dorsey was the district's top statistical performer during the period, which means he was tops in arrests, citations, public contacts and special projects. He played a key role in the arrest of a burglar at Nanakuli High School recently.
