Financial-aid workshop set for Jan. 31 at Windward CC

Advertiser Staff

KANE'OHE — Windward Community College will hold a Scholarship 'Aha (gathering) from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 31 to provide an opportunity for students and parents to network with experts helpful in securing financial aid and scholarships.

"College is possible with a little help," said WCC Financial Aid Adviser Steven Chigawa. Chigawa will be on hand to introduce three new scholarships designed for WCC students. "The added benefit is that scholarships are free monies that do not need to be repaid," says Chigawa.

Students and their parents can meet with scholarship representatives and attend workshops that help demystify the financial aid process. This event is free and open to the community. WCC is located at 45-720 Kea'ahala Road, mauka of Kahekili Highway. For more information, call WCC Outreach Specialist Gus Cob-Adams at 235-7385 or e-mail him at gusca@hawaii.edu.
