Japan Airlines selling unit with operations here

Japan Airlines Corp. said its selling its Pacific Fuel Trading Corp., a unit that purchases and distributes jet fuel in Honolulu and other U.S. cities.Japan Airlines, which has been selling off units to focus on its air carrier business, said a subsidiary of Vitol Group, a European-based oil trading company, is buying Pacific Fuel. The airline said it will be entering a long-term supply contract with Vitol. The sale is scheduled to close on Jan. 31.
