UH begins taking deposits for football season tickets

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i, hoping to ride the momentum of the announcement of Greg McMackin as head football coach, said it would start accepting $50 non-refundable deposits for new season tickets for the 2008 football season.

Season ticket prices and premium seat contributions will remain the same as last year. UH has a goal of selling 30,000 season tickets for the 2008 season.

The deposit (per order, not per ticket) will be applied to fans' new season-ticket purchases. Deposits can be paid online or at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office.

Callbacks for new tickets will begin in May.

Current season-ticket holders will be mailed renewal information in February and they will not need to place a deposit for additional seat requests.

In 2007, UH said it sold 22,975 season tickets, which was an increase of 4,760 from the 18,215 sold for the 2006 campaign.
