Second-ranked Buffanblu boys rout Monarchs, 82-51

Kainoa Gaddis scored 11 points and Trevor Crab added 10 as the second-ranked Punahou Buffanblu defeated the Damien Monarchs, 82-51, last night in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I boys game at Damien.

Punahou (4-1) used 13 players and all scored at least two points. The Buffanblu led 19-12 after the first quarter, opened a 48-25 lead at intermission, then outscored the Monarchs 17-7 for a 65-32 cushion entering the fourth quarter.

Kaiokoili Lima scored 16 for Damien (0-4).

Michael Ursia had a game-high 27 points for Christian Academy.

Ashley Ordenstein had 10 points to lead Sacred Hearts, which rallied with a 13-8 fourth quarter to tie the game at 37 at the end of regulation.
