Acoustic 'peaceful punk' concert tomorrow at Marks

Advertiser Staff

"Peaceful punk" Mike Park will perform in an acoustic concert at 9 p.m. tomorrow at The ARTS at Marks Garage.

Park, a member of the influential '90s ska band Skankin' Pickle, was a driving force behind the now-defunct Dill Records, which released a record by Hawaii's Tantra Monsters. He currently runs Asian Man Records, an independent label based in Northern California, and is the founder of the Plea for Peace Foundation.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with local opening acoustic acts such as The Golfcart Rebellion, Black Square, and Warren Young from The Tantra Monsters. Tickets are $5 at the door.

The event is a presentation of Tim Bostock Productions at www.808shows.com.
