Big Island fest competition seeking student musicians

Applications are now available for the Big Island's Hamakua Music Festival's annual scholarship competition, which will be held this spring at the Honoka'a People's Theater.Applicants for the competition, set for 1 p.m. April 19, must be between 14-19 years old and reside on the Big Island. Applications must be received by Feb. 29. Applications are available online at www.hamakuamusicfestival.org or can be requested by e-mail from karen@theclarksons.com.
