WAR DECLARED FOR FEB. 28

Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. today for a concert by the legendary rock band War, whose hits include "Cisco Kid," "Summer," "The World is a Ghetto," "Low Rider" and "Why Can't We Be Friends."

The concert is scheduled for Feb. 28 at Pipeline Cafe.

Tickets are $35 general, $60 VIP, available at the Pipeline box office and at Ticketmaster outlets. 877-750-4400, www.ticketmaster.com.

The band also is scheduled to perform Feb. 29 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center's Castle Theater and March 1 at the Hilton Waikoloa — details to be announced.

ANJELAH JOHNSON COMEDY

Comic Anjelah Johnson, of Fox's "MAD TV," is coming for a pair of shows Feb. 14 at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai'i's Manoa Grand Ballroom.

She performs at a dinner show at 7:30 p.m. ($65); and at a 10 p.m. cocktail show ($25). Tickets are available at Jelly's, Flyin' Hawaiian Balloons, MWR Offices and at the University of Hawai'i's Campus Center.

The former Oakland Raiders cheerleader has taken her standup schtick to clubs, churches, casinos and colleges across the Mainland.
