TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE:

"Monk" and "Psych," 9 and 10 p.m., USA Network. Let's be glad that these pleasant shows decided to split their season in two. That leaves a pile of new, scripted episodes — arriving just as network shows sink into reruns.

In the first one, someone has stolen a treasured possession from Monk's safety-deposit box. Stealing from a master crime solver really isn't wise.

In the second, Shawn and Gus work with Shawn's dad (Corbin Bernsen). Someone has disappeared from a retirement home.

"Friday Night Lights," 8 p.m., NBC. Last week, Coach Taylor realized he'd falsely accused Tim Riggins. Now both have new problems.

The coach and his wife are hesitant to put their baby into day care. Meanwhile, Riggins is mocking Lyla, who works as a disc jockey for a Christian radio station.

Meanwhile, Smash learns that some of his relatives disapprove of his interracial romance.

OF NOTE

"Ghostbusters" (1984), 4:30-7 p.m., VH1. On a day when new shows are scarce, this is a good time to revisit a comedy classic. Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson are semi-competent people, teaming to fight ghosts. Now a beauty (Sigourney Weaver) has a haunted refrigerator. As the guys point out, you really expect better behavior from major appliances. This appeals to any age, with big sight gags, clever dialog and a zesty theme song.

"George of the Jungle," 8 and 8:30 p.m., Cartoon Network. The good news is that this classic cartoon series has been revived after 40 years. The bad news? This version has a frantic, frenetic style; some kids may like it, but grown-ups will wish it had some pace.

"Grey's Anatomy" and "Desperate Housewives," 7 and 8:02 p.m., ABC. Here are a couple of random reruns. In the first, the doctors deal with the aftermath of an apartment fire, while Cristina realizes her romance is over: Burke's mother (Diahann Carroll) is there to pick up his stuff. Then Bree tries to steal a recipe from Katherine, but ends up overhearing family secrets.

"Bones" and "House," 7 and 8 p.m., Fox. Here are two more random reruns; viewers might end up trying to settle this strike themselves. In the first hour, a former soldier has been killed in the Arlington National Cemetery; in the second, Dr. House and Stacy try to get past the tryst that happened when they were snowbound in Baltimore. Meanwhile, the current case involves a hyperactive mom (Julie Warner) who collapses at 34.

"High School Musical 2" (2007), 8-10 p.m., Disney Channel. On a weak night, you might as well see this fun film again. It starts with a vibrant music number, celebrating the end of a school year, then finds complications surrounding Troy's summer job at a country club. An OK story is accompanied by likable characters and vibrant music.

"Moonlight," 8 p.m., CBS. Mick learns the details of becoming fully human again - and learns that it has a steep price.

"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. A cop has been using his position to become a serial rapist; now Don's team scrambles to catch him.

"Las Vegas," 9 p.m., NBC. Cooper pays big to get Piper out of trouble with the gaming commission. Meanwhile, Sam and Polly are supposed to go to traffic school, but Sam resists.

"Stargate: Atlantis," 7-9 p.m., Sci Fi Channel. McKay is set to propose to Katie, however, a quarantine strands her in the lab with Rodney.
