Kane'ohe native Dean Wilson shot a 7-over-par 79 today and missed the cut in the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Chrysler Classic at Palm Desert, Calif.

Wilson was at 2-over 290 after the fourth round of the five-round tournament. The cut was 7-under. The low 70 scores and ties advanced to tomorrow's final round.

Wilson, who also missed the cut in last week's Sony Open in Hawai'i, had three double-bogeys, three bogeys and two birdies in his round today.

Justin Leonard shot a 66 and took a four-stroke lead at 23-under 265.
