High surf advisory issued for north, west shores

Advertiser Staff

A high surf advisory remains in effect for all north- and west-facing shores on Oahu, according to the National Weather Service.

Surf along north-facing shores is expected to be 8 to 12 feet today, forecasters said.

West-facing shores should see surf of 5 to 8 feet.

East-facing shores can expect surf of 4 to 7 feet today.

Surf along south-facing shores will likely be 2 to 4 feet.

The next northwest swell is expected to arrive late today and peak Monday, bringing near advisory surf heights to north- and west- facing shores. The swell will slowly subside through Wednesday.
