Let the Year of the Rat celebrations begin!

And begin it does with a Chinese New Year Festival that continues from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Jan. 25-26 at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza.

Attractions include food, exhibits, entertainment, feng shui presentations, martial-arts demonstrations, fortune readings and more. Oh, and many opportunities to buy Year of the Rat T-shirts.

Admission is free.
