Pair charged in Kailua market bank forgery case

A Kailua man and Hau'ula woman were charged today with attempting to cash a stolen and forged check.

Thomas Allen Amorin, 55, and Sherisse Leimomi Thompson, 25, were arrested yesterday at a bank location inside a supermarket at 200 Hamakua Drive in Kailua at 3 p.m. The check recovered by police allegedly had a forged signature of a woman, 50.

Amorin, who has seven prior convictions, and Thompson are charged second-degree forgery, second-degree attempted theft and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.

Bail for each is $20,000.
