Trade winds will remain through week

Trade winds will become locally breezy through midweek, but slowly diminish, the National Weather Service said.

Rainfall will affect mainly windward areas, but some showers will spread across leeward areas of the smaller islands, mainly during nights and mornings.

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 79. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tonight: Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

M.L.King Day: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 79. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Monday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tuesday: Isolated showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 80. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
