HPU casting for 'Constant Wife' show

Hawaii Pacific University will hold auditions for "The Constant Wife," a comedy by W. Somerset Maugham, this weekend at HPU's Paul and Vi Loo Theatre, at 45-045 Kamehameha Hwy. in Kaneohe.

Tryouts will be at 7 p.m. Friday,and noon Saturday and Sunday.

The play is about a wife who learns about her husband's indiscretion and how she challenges perceptions of love and marriage.

Besides the roles of Constance Middleton, the constant wife of the title, and her husband, John Middleton, parts for family members, suitors, a friend and a butler are available.

Joyce Maltby will direct the production which will play March 28 through April 27 at HPU.

Scripts are available for perusal at the Windward and downtown campuses.
