UH football player charged with shoplifting

A University of Hawai'i football player was arrested and charged yesterday for allegedly shoplifting earrings valued at $7 from an Ala Moana Center store.Briton Forester of a Makiki Street address was arrested at 4:03 p.m. for petty misdemeanor fourth-degree theft. He was released at 5 p.m. after posting $25 bail.
Forester, a kicker who redshirted in 2007, has a District Court appearance scheduled Feb. 11.
