Asian restaurant by ex-islander expanding on Mainland

Desert Island Restaurants, operator of five franchised Ruth's Chris Steakhouses and a Romano's Macaroni Grill in Hawai'i, said it plans to franchise and expand its Ling & Louie's Asian Bar and Grill concept nationwide.The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company owned by former isle restaurant owner Randy Schoch has opened one of the Asian-inspired cuisine restaurants in Denver and will open another in Scottsdale later this month.
