'Hawaii's Latino Idol' looking for contestants

The search for the second annual "Hawaii's Latino Idol" is under way.Prospects must be of Hispanic or Latino descent and perform in Spanish — and 18 and older. The deadline to apply is Feb. 29.
The winner will receive $1,000 and a chance to record a CD.
Prizes also await two runners-up.
The idol will appear at various Hispanic events throughout the year.
