Meet the media at AAJA-Hawaii's anniversary event

The public is invited to help celebrate the Hawai'i chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association's 20th anniversary at a fundraising event next Friday from 7-9 p.m. at The Willows restaurant.

The pau hana event features an all-you-can-eat heavy pupu buffet; hosted beer, wine and martini stations by Keoki Brewing, Southern Wine & Spirits and Kai Vodka; a silent auction; and live music by Kahua. AAJA is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships, professional training and resources for accurate coverage of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Members include representatives from the print, broadcast and radio industry.

Tickets are $40 for AAJA members, $50 for nonmembers and $35 for students. Corporate tables of eight are available for $320.
