Curtain rises on 'Mass Appeal' drama this weekend

Brother Gary Morris, chief of the Drama Department at Chaminade University, stars as Father Tim Farley in "Mass Appeal," a production of The Actors' Group, which is set to open 7:30 Saturday at Yellow Brick Studio, 625 Keawe St.

The play is a tale of the clash between the survivalist, older priest and a hard-charging young seminarian, played by Blaze Mancillas. Brad Powell is the director.

The play will continue to be staged at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays, through Feb. 24. Tickets: $15, general; $13, seniors; $12, students and groups of 10 or more. For additional information, call 722-6941 or visit the The Actors' Group Web site at www.taghawaii.net.
