Hawaii stock index rises, led by Hoku Scientific

The Bloomberg-Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Index rose slightly, led by gains in Hoku Scientific and Alexander & Baldwin shares.The 11-member Hawai'i index increased 0.09 points to 86.76 as five issues gained and six declined.
Hoku Scientific's shares jumped 8.2 percent in rising 68 cents to $9.00.
Alexander & Baldwin rose 44 cents to $43.84.
