'Lost' TV special recaps Season 3 on eve of premiere

By Wayne Harada

"Lost," ABC's filmed-in-Hawai'i series, will offer fans an enhanced Season 3 recap with "Through the Looking Glass," which is set to air from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The special precedes the Season 4 premiere, 8 p.m. next Thursday. "Looking Glass" will feature an on-screen display of plot facts, with text appearing on the lower third of the screen to "let viewers in" on various clues, the network said in an announcement issued today.

The recap is intended to enable viewers to catch up on the story of survivors of the Oceanic 815 crash on an unknown island and bring new viewers up to speed on the eve of the new season.

The screenwriters guild's strike has disrupted island production of "Lost" and other series. "Lost" will have 48 more episodes through 2010.
