HO'IKE TECHNOLOGY

Ho'ike Technology, a software development company, has promoted Keith Inouye to chief operating officer and senior vice president. He has extensive experience in the management of information technology and systems development. Previously, he was director of e-business for HMSA.

GRUBB & ELLIS/CBI

Grubb & Ellis/CBI has hired Bonnie Oppermann as senior vice president; she will specialize in industrial and investment properties. A licensed attorney and real estate broker, she is past Hawai'i area manager for HRPT Properties Trust. She was also the assistant operating officer for the Damon Estate and most recently, principal broker for the Grand Wailea Lifestyles, a vacation rental property management company.

HAWAI'I NATURE CENTER

Hawai'i Nature Center has announced its 2008-09 executive committee:

President: Meredith Ching, senior vice president at Alexander & Baldwin; first vice chair: Dee Jay Mailer, CEO of Kamehameha Schools; second vice chair: Jeff Case, senior vice president at Marsh USA; treasurer: Warren Haight, president of Haight and Associates; secretary: George Norcross, businessman and entrepreneur; past president: Tim Johns, CEO and president at Bishop Museum; board of director member: Ryan Churchill, senior vice president for corporate development at Maui Land & Pineapple.

The Hawai'i Nature Center is the state's largest private provider of environmental education with sites on O'ahu, Maui and Kaua'i.

MAUNA LANI RESORT

Hospitality veteran Brian Butterworth has been named general manager of Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island. Butterworth will oversee operations for Mauna Lani Bay Hotel Bungalows. He has more than 12 years of experience with a number of Four Seasons hotels.
