Bay Area's Trannyshack to bring drag show to Hawaii

Heklina, founder of Trannyshack, San Francisco's longest-running drag performance night club, will return to Hula's Bar & Lei Stand Feb. 22 and 23 with the ultimate gay show that has been famously — or infamously — dubbed the quintessential San Francisco experience.With wild costumes and often raunchy and flamboyant demeanor, the show has been described as low-brow trash and high-brow performance art.
Doors will open at 8 p.m; curtain time is 10:30 p.m.
Heklina, the noted performer and emcee, will feature cast mates Putanesca, Mercy Fuque, Renttecca, Holy McGrail and Matthew Martin.
Hula's is located on the second floor of the Waikiki Grand Hotel, at 134 Kapahulu Ave.
