United Mechanics may switch to Teamsters

Mechanics at United Airlines can vote on whether to switch to the Teamsters for union representation, Bloomberg News reported.The National Mediation Board authorized the election yesterday. The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association currently represents about 5,500 active workers at United, Bloomberg reported.
