Surf on North Shore down to 2-4 feet today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along north-facing shores on O'ahu is expected to drop all the way down to 2 feet to 4 feet today, according to the National Weather Service.

Elsewhere the surf is expected to be 1 foot to 3 feet today along west-facing shores; 3 feet to 5 feet along east-facing shores; and 1 foot to 3 feet along south-facing shores.

A new northwest swell will boost surf heights to near the advisory threshold of 15 feet along north shores and 12 feet along west-facing shores Monday night and Tuesday. Strengthening trade winds combined with a long-period northeast swell will likely generate advisory level surf of 8 feet or greater along east-facing shores Saturday through Monday.
