Arizona shoots down WSU, 76-64

TUCSON, Ariz. — Jerryd Bayless scored 23 points and Chase Budinger had 22, and Arizona used a barrage of 3-pointers to beat No. 6 Washington State 76-64 last night.

The Wildcats (13-6, 3-3 Pac-10) were 12 of 21 (57 percent) from beyond the arc.

Leading scorer Derrick Low, an 'Iolani School alum, was 2 of 9 from the field and didn't have a basket until 2:38 remained for the Cougars (16-2, 4-2). He finished with five points.

WAC MEN

UTAH STATE 71, LOUISIANA TECH 61

Jaycee Carroll scored 16 points and the Aggies (15-5, 5-0 WAC) beat the Bulldogs (3-14, 0-5) at Ruston, La.

NEVADA 87, NEW MEXICO STATE 78

Brandon Fields scored 21 points as the Wolf Pack (11-7, 3-2) beat the Aggies (10-11, 4-2) at Las Cruces, N.M.

IDAHO 74, SAN JOSE STATE 63

Mike Hall hit a school-record nine 3-pointers en route to 29 points as the Vandals (5-13, 2-5) beat Spartans (9-9, 2-4) at Moscow, Idaho.

DIXIE STATE 85, BRIGHAM YOUNG-HAWAI'I 70

Ryan Sanchez scored 18 points as the Rebels (6-10, 3-4 Pacific West Conference) beat the Seasiders (10-5, 5-3) at St. George, Utah.

PACWEST WOMEN

DIXIE STATE 86, BRIGHAM YOUNG-HAWAI'I 66

Jessica Carver scored 25 points to lead the Rebels (9-7, 5-2 Pacific West Conference) over the Seasiders (2-14, 2-6) at St. George, Utah.
