Rain showers likely to hang around into new week

The National Weather Service is forecasting scattered or isolated showers throughout the weekend and well into the new work week.

Here's a closer look at what to expect during the next few days:

Today: Scattered showers, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Breezy, with a east wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: Scattered showers, mainly after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 80. East wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 81. Breezy, with a east wind around 21 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday Night: Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
