Fire damages Kapaa clothing store

KAPA'A – A fire broke out at a clothing store in Kapa'a at around 9:45 this morning. No one was inside at the time.

According to Kaua'i fire officials, approximately 1,200 square feet of the front end of the store was burned. Total damages have not yet been determined.

Firefighters from the Kapa'a and Lihu'e stations responded to the fire, along with rescue specialists from the Lihu'e station.

The fire was deemed under control about 10 minutes after the arrival of the firefighters and was fully extinguished at 10:30 am.

The cause is under investigation.
