Chinese New Year events in Chinatown, Pearl City

There's still more celebrating to be done at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza, where a Chinese New Year Festival continues into its second weekend. Expect to find much food and entertainment, martial-arts demonstrations and exhibits.

Hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today. Admission is free. 948-2007, www.chinatownhi.com.

Speaking of the Chinese New Year, a troupe of young singers and dancers from China is in town to help celebrate the Year of the Rat. The concert begins at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Pearl City Cultural Center.
