No arrests in Waianae robbery at gambling event

Advertiser Staff

Police are investigating a complaint by two men who were allegedly robbed early yesterday in Wai'anae.

The men, ages 40 and 37, were leaving a gambling event at 5:30 a.m. when they were allegedly confronted by two men who demanded money. One of the suspects had a gun which he fired once toward the older complainant, police said.

The two complainants were assaulted and reported their wallets stolen.

Police have made no arrests in the case, which is being investigated as an attempted murder and first-degree robbery.
