Man wanted on $100,000 warrants caught in Wahiawa

Advertiser Staff

A man arrested in Wahiawa Thursday on two retake warrants of $50,000 each was also charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

Samuel William Gomes Jr., 31, who listed no permanent local address at booking, was arrested at 8:42 a.m. fronting 396 Wilikina Drive by police responding to a burglary-in-progress complaint. Witnesses identified Gomes to police as the suspect who ran from the burglary site and pointed out his direction of flight.

Gomes' bail for the non-warrant charges is $2,000. He has two prior criminal convictions.
