Hawaii student group's 2 TV spots win national awards

Hawaii Student Television, a winner of the 2007 National Student Television Awards, was invited to attend a Feb. 9 awards at the University of San Francisco.
The awards, from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, are the equivalent of a student Emmy. HSTV's winning videos, "Therapeutic Foster Parent PSA," produced for Child & Family Services, and its "Daughters of Hawaii Hulihee Palace" fundraising video were the winning entries.
The awards include exhibits, sessions and an opportunity to meet and pitch professionals from the television industry. There will also be a screening of the 2007 Emmy winners.
