Ex-'Iolani hoop star Low named to Wooden Top 30 list

Washington State senior guard Derrick Low was named to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 30 list over the weekend.Low, an 'Iolani School graduate, is now one of 30 candidates for the John R. Wooden Award, which goes to the nation's top men's college basketball player. He is also eligible to be named to the 10-player Wooden Award All-America Team.
The final awards will be announced in late March.
Low leads the No. 9-ranked Cougars in scoring with 14.1 points per game.
Former Texas player Kevin Durant won the John R. Wooden Award as a freshman last season.
