High-surf warning for eastern shores

Advertiser Staff

A high-surf warning remains in effect for eastern shores this morning and a high-surf advisory is in effect for northern shores, the National Weather Service said. Both will be canceled by this afternoon.

Surf along north-facing shores will be near 10 feet this morning, lowering to 6 feet to 8 feet this afternoon.

Surf along east-facing shores will be 10 feet to 15 feet through this morning, lowering to 7 feet to 10 feet by this afternoon.

Surf along south- and west-facing shores will be 1 foot to 3 feet through today.

By late Tuesday surf will drop below the 8-foot advisory level for east-facing shores. A northwest swell will boost surf heights to near advisory levels along the north shore Tuesday.
