HILO, Hawai'i — Big Island vice officers raided a home next to Waiakeawaena Elementary School in Hilo Friday and seized pills, cocaine and marijuana.

Police served a search warrant on the home in the 2400 block of Kilauea Avenue at 5:30 p.m. and seized nearly an ounce of cocaine, nearly three ounces of dried marijuana and 448 prescription pills, most of which were Oxycodone and Hydrocodone, police said.

Police also found an electric stun gun and a .22-caliber pistol, and seized $1,111 in cash.

Six men at the home were arrested, and two were charged with drug and firearm violations. They are brothers Wailani Kenui, 23, and Kalani Kenui, 31.

Wailani Kenui was charged with the offense of promoting a controlled substance near schools or public parks, a law that makes it a felony to distribute or possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance within 750 feet of a school or public park.

Bail was set at $31,000 for Wailani Kenui and $26,000 for Kalani Kenui, and both men posted bail and were released.
