Big Island police seek help in solving Kona robbery case

Hawai'i County police are asking for the public's help in connection with a robbery that took place Saturday on Ali'i Drive.

A 39-year-old man from Switzerland was robbed of his wallet around 10 p.m. just south of the Kailua pier.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, more than 6 feet tall, about 200 pounds with a dark complexion, a medium build and short dark hair. He was not wearing a shirt. The suspect was reportedly part of a group of at least eight individuals who were nearby during the robbery.
