Dental Samaritans to visit keiki on two islands

The Hawaii Dental Association's Dental Samaritans, volunteer dentists and their staff, will travel to West Oahu elementary schools Friday to provide free dental screenings, oral health care lessons and distributing free toothbrushes, toothpaste, and informational packets to nearly 800 students.

Dental teams will be dispersed this year, visiting Ewa Elementary and Pohakea Elementary in Ewa Beach, and Nanakuli Elementary, as well as Kekaha Elementary on Kauai.

Participating HDA Dental Samaritans volunteer dentists inlude: (on Oahu) Dr. Russell H. Masunaga, Dr. Edmund Cassella, Dr. Brian Kim, Dr. Chris Yamada, Dr. Glenn Kaneda, Dr. Cecile Sebastian, Dr. Mark Greer; (on Kauai) Dr. Masahiro Sato, Dr. Lisa Hirano, Dr. Timothy Hirano, Dr. Scott Shimabukuro, and Dr. Stanwood Kanna and Dr. Antolin Apala.
