High-surf advisory again for Oahu's east-facing shores

A high-surf advisory remains in effect for east-facing shores on O'ahu. Surf of 6 feet to 8 feet is expected today, according to the National Weather Service

The forecast for other ares calls for surf of 6 feet to 10 feet along north-facing shores; 1 foot to 3 feet along south-facing shores; and 3 feet to 6 feet along west-facing shores.

The current northwest swell will slowly subside over the next couple of days. A small northwest swell will arrive over the weekend. The short period trade wind swell will gradually diminish through Friday but may increase again during the weekend.
