Hawaii filmmakers sought for 'Prom Night' contest

Budding Hawai'i filmmakers are invited to participate in "UGO's Prom Night Short Film Contest," which seeks short horror films, between 30 seconds and five minutes max in length, all with a prom-going theme.UGO (UnderGroundOnline) Networks Inc. (UGO.com) is collaborating with Sony Screen Gems (producers of "Prom Night") to seek horror shots for a contest that offers a trip for two to Los Angeles, $1,000 in spending money, and a chance for the winner to attend a hometown screening with friends and family of Sony's upcoming prom-themed thriller.

Five finalists will be selected, with viewers voting through April 2 for their favorites. The winner will be announced April 3 on the Web site.
